Yet he will try his best but hes become "So tired of being worried about Ray" that he's ready to give up. Ray has gone in the wrong direction or at least a direction that differs from his friend but a direction that cant be good or healthy because it will be a waste of a life "They say the future's out to get you".The monster Ray has become (seen in the video) represents the unrecognisable characterRay now is but his friend has to shoot someone down in the end, meaning he has to either cut ties with Ray or be cruel to be kind in some way or another. "You know that I wont let you fall" is about a long standing friendship where trust and being there for each other were always the foundations of it, but now Ray is becoming withdrawn and the breakdown starts "I'm treading on my tippy toes" this is as if Ray is so withdrawn hes worried about stepping on his feelings but also hes tip-toeing around Ray because he fears making him worse. General CommentI reckon this song on the surface is what it says. I'm worried what the future holds, the future holds The future's out to get you, the future's out to get you, oh I'm treading on my tippy toes, my tippy toes I'm holding the CD case in my hand right now and on the side it's clearly written " & The Trick To Life" as the title of the album.I'm worried about the future holds, the future holds Mrstonky ( talk) 03:10, 10 August 2010 (UTC) Album Title : " & The Trick To Life" I know which side of the line The Hoosiers fall in my opinion. And let's not even start on Cops and Robbers and The Cure's The Love Cats - there's homage, and then there's cheap rip-off. Mrstonky ( talk) 05:16, 12 January 2008 (UTC) It's worth also noting that Worried About Ray was enough like The Turtles' Happy Together that the band were forced to split song-writing credits with the authors of that song much has been made of the similarity of Goodbye Mr. Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.112.88.80 ( talk) 21:36, 11 January 2008 (UTC) You mean the "sadness runs through-oo-oo-ooooooo-oooo it" bit? Yes, it is reminiscent of "tu-u-urn yo-o-ou o-o-o-o-on" in the Beatles track, but a side-by-side comparison show that those bars are not so close after all (both melody and production-wise). Is this intentional like the other songs. Part of "A Sadness Runs through it", sounds very like A Day in the Life, by the Beatles. Was this vandalism? I thought it was but I am uncertain. Someone put all the track listed to rhyme. Chappy T C 22:37, 31 October 2007 (UTC) Vandalism? Thank you.īetacommandBot 05:12, 29 September 2007 (UTC) The Ampersand on the cover Ĭould users please stop adding the ampersand symbol (&) to the album's title, this isn't infact part of the album name, but intended to signify that the album is performed by the band.
